About Himalayan Raptors

Himalayan Raptors is established to develop solutions to the challenges facing birds of prey in Nepal and the Himalayan Region. It is a non-profit organization registered with the government of Nepal and committed to the protection of birds and their habitat, with a special focus on Raptors or "Bird of Prey", through the use of scientific research and conservation efforts. We work to rejuvenate damaged habitats, educate and empower communities on the importance of biodiversity conservation, support and enable these communities, enhance the skills of local conservation leaders to ensure the protection of birds of prey, and foster a peaceful coexistence with them. Additionally, we promote research on raptors to identify the impacts of anthropogenic threats and climate change on their survival and propose and implement solutions to overcome these threats. Our organization also collaborates with various local, national, and international organizations to aid in the conservation of raptors and their habitats, mitigate the effects of climate change, protect biodiversity, and support the well-being of local resilient communities. We are dedicated to recognizing threats to biodiversity and the environment, safeguarding them, and developing strategies to address these threats for the benefit of local communities, through expert advice, training, and skill development.
